2 days in london, ENgland
DAY 1:
- First step of any trip to London is buying an oyster card which you can buy upon arriving in London (it's a preloaded card that you use for the tube)
- Start the morning off with breakfast and head over to the Tower of London and Tower Bridge (both do tours but that is up to you!)
- Next hop on the tube at Tower Hill and ride it to Hyde Park
- Here near Hyde Park will be Buckingham Palace which is so grand in person!
- Also nearby is Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and Westminster Bridge.
- Lunch time! London has endless food options but head to my London food guide for a list of some of my favorites :)
- After lunch you can take a ride on the London Eye which gives you beautiful views of the city!
- After some panoramic views of the city take a stroll through Hyde Park on your way to Kensington Palace which I highly recommend!
- A trip to London wouldn't be complete without an afternoon tea! Some great options are Fortnum and Mason , Sketch, and my personal favorite Bea's of Bloomsbury
- If you feel up to it grab some fish and chips and a good pint and then head to a broadway show- I saw Mamma Mia and it didn't disappoint!
DAY 2:
- Grab some breakfast and make the trip to Windsor Castle
- The quickest way to get to Windsor is from London Paddington to Windsor Central with one rail change in Slough
- I bought the guided tour head set and it was the perfect amount of information!
- Feel free to grab lunch in the cute town of Windsor or head back to London
- Then head to the British Museum which is FREE (I am a strong supporter of Rick Steves and he has a highlight tour for this museum so take a listen!)
- Afterwards if you care to see some of the cutest streets go take a stroll through Notting Hill
- Enjoy dinner and relax because this two day guide is a turbo version to see London and trust me there is much more to see!
